This is Fallingwater, built by landowner to disguise the mouth of a culvert that runs beneath the road. Many of the rocks used in construction were hauled down from areas above the town. Fallingwater comes alive in winter and spring.

Riverside Park features alder and cedar trees with plenty of room for camping, complemented by trails that wind through the forest.

The river rushes around Beer Rock, an 8-foot-high boulder just off the park area. Kayakers play on the right side of the boulder in an eddy with calmer water. Pink salmon (humpies) are now migrating upstream past the park.

When four huge cedars from river’s edge fell across part of the park, the landowner looked on it as a gift, turning what could have been just bad luck into a unique new area for playing, camping, picnicking.

Another path, the one we call the Serpentine because it winds thru the forest.

Trails meander throughout the property, this woodland trail features a quaint footbridge.
